Caracterización acústica de las llamadas de machos de Ratona Aperdizada (Cistothorus platensis) durante el periodo reproductivo en una población del Valle de Uspallata, Mendoza, Argentina
Resumen
Las llamadas son señales vocales cortas y estructuralmente simples en comparación con los cantos, y cumplen un rol clave durante la comunicación intra e interespecífica. La estructura acústica de las llamadas dentro del género Cistothorus, no ha sido estudiada en poblaciones sudamericanas. Describimos la estructura acústica de las llamadas de la Ratona Aperdizada (Cistothorus platensis). Grabamos a machos durante el periodo reproductivo en una población del Valle de Uspallata, Mendoza, Argentina y clasificamos sus llamadas de acuerdo a sus parámetros espectrales y temporales. Identificamos dos tipos diferentes de llamadas dentro de la población, denominadas “llamada A” y “llamada B”. La llamada A presentó mayor duración, menor ancho de banda y frecuencias pico menores respecto a la llamada B. Llamadas con diferentes estructuras sugieren contextos comportamentales y/o funciones diferenciales. Este trabajo proporciona la primera descripción de las llamadas de la especie y establece una base para estudios futuros que evalúen la función y posible variación de las mismas entre poblaciones.
