The geographical distribution of Pseudocolopteryx acutipennis (Tyrannidae) in Argentina

Abstract

The available information on the geographical distribution of Pseudocolopteryx acutipennis in Argentina is summarized on the basis of museum specimens, bibliographic citations, and field observations from various authors. New localities are provided; some of them bring out for being lowlands towards eastern Argentina (including the Mesopotamia), where this species also breeds. Pseudocolopteryx acutipennis could be total or partially migrant, moving to the north in autumn-winter. Measurements, weights and coloration of soft parts are also given.
