Abstract
Currently, the only species of the genus Chiroxiphia recorded for Argentina is the Blue Manakin (Chiroxiphia caudata) in Misiones and Corrientes provinces. In this study, the first record of Yungas Manakin (Chiroxiphia boliviana) in Argentina is reported based on a juvenile captured and the sound recordings of four individuals in Finca Pintascayo, Iruya Department, Salta Province. With this record the distributional range of this species is extended 350 km towards the South from Chuquisaca Department in south-eastern Bolivia.
