Abstract
A first record specimen of Pterodroma brevirostris for the Atlantic coast of South America is reported. Possible site of departure of the specimen, its routes and the status of the species for South America are discussed. Record specimens of Puffinus griseus for Brazil and Macronectes halli for Uruguay are also mentioned.
