Seventy five species were registered in a 6 ha plot of native forest at 2130 m. of elevation, and 60 additional species in the surroundings, in the Lower Montane Wet Forest life zone from October 1984 to December 1985. Nesting activities were registered throughout the year with a slight peak from March to July, following the change from the driest season to the wet season.
