Abstract
In this note the authors report on a study of all the species of Dendrocolaptidae and Furnariidae collected by William H. Partridge in Corrientes, between 1960 and 1962; they are kept in his collection housed in the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales de Buenos Aires. The former family is represented by eight species and the latter by twenty five. Exact localities for Xiphocolaptes albicollis albicollis, Dendrocolaptes platyrostris platyrostris, Upucerthia certhioides certhioides, Leptasthenura platensis, Synallaxis albescens albescens, Synallaxis spixi and Philydor rufosuperciliatus acritus are given. The presence of other species previously cited without voucher specimens is confirmed and new localities for others are added. Weight of the body, gonadal development, and sometimes nesting and breeding data are furnished along with the present contribution.
