Abstract
Five morphometric measurements were recorded in banded breeding adults at the Cabo Vírgenes breeding colony. Females' sex was confirmed using vent dilatation during the laying periodo. We determined which variable was most useful to discriminate between sexes. using discriminant analysis. Means of morphometric variables were compared with those obtained by Scolaro (1983) for Punta Tombo. Birds were significatively smaller in Cabo Vírgenes than in Punta Tombo. Bill measurements were the best to discriminate between sexes for both colonies but with different thresholds.
