Abstract
The southend of the Samborombón Bay is considered as an important site in the Red Knot, (Calidris canutus) migration. The purpose of this note is to analyze the seasonal occurrence of Red Knots at Punta Rasa, in order to evaluate the importance of the area as a stopover site. The results show that Punta Rasa area seems to be an important stopover site during April but not during austral spring (September-October).It seems that the Red Knot use different routes in northward and southward migration.
