Resumen
Durante el verano de 2002 observé un contacto agresivo directo entre un Aguilucho Andino y un Aguilucho Común en el centro-sur de Chile. Ambas aves, en vuelo, se engancharon de sus garras y empujaron sus pies en el sentido de su contrincante, girando brevemente a modo de rueda de carreta. Después de eso, ambas aves desengancharon sus garras. Ningún daño físico ni pérdida del control aerodinámico fueron visibles. Este tipo de demostración agresiva, utilizado presumiblemente como defensa territorial, sería el primero documentado para Falconiformes en Chile.
