Resumen
Se presenta el primer registro para Chile del Corbatita Overo (Sporophila lineola), realizado el 27 y el 30 de diciembre de 2011 en el humedal del río Putana, región de Antofagasta, a 4250 msnm. Se registró un macho solitario que fue observado en un periodo de cuatro días y que siempre pareció ser un individuo sano y en buena condición general, adaptado a las bajas temperaturas nocturnas y a la escasa disponibilidad de alimento. Debido al aislamiento del sitio donde se lo registró (en función de su altitud y la distancia a los centros poblados), es poco probable que haya sido un ave escapada del cautiverio.
