Abstract
The breeding biology of the Grassland Yellow-Finch (Sicalis luteola) was studied between 1979 -1985 at Villa María, Córdoba. Clutch size in 32 nest was 3 - 6 eggs (X =4,7), eggs were laid on consecutive days. Only the female incubates; the incubation period was 11 days, and the nestling period 10 - 11 days. Egg - laying dates ranged from 6 October to 22 January . Six nests were parasitized by Shiny Cowbirds (Molothrus bonariensis), but parasitic nestlings probably died for lack of suitable food. Breeding success was 45,9%.
