Abstract
Information is given about nesting of 13 bird species in eastern Catamarca Province, Argentina. The study encompasses areas belonging to Prepuna Phytogeographic Province and Yungas Province. Locality, date, location, materials used, and contents of the nests are described. In general, there is little information about features of nests and eggs for the species studied, especially for Microstilbon burmeisteri, Anairetes flavirostris, Myiotheretes striaticollis and Thlypopsis ruficeps. Data presented here enlarge the known nesting area of Elaenia obscura and Anairetes flavirostris. The nest of Thlypopsis ruficeps appears to be described for the first time for Argentina.
